If you died today, where would you go?
The Bible says:
We All Have Sinned
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The word sin means to miss the mark, or come short of perfection, by disobeying God.
Sin Has a Penalty
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The payment for your sin is death and separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell.
Jesus Paid the Penalty
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God proved His love for you by giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sin. Jesus died in your place and paid your penalty.
Believe on Jesus Today
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
To believe on Jesus Christ as Savior means to place your trust in the knowledge that He died for you, paid the price for your sin, and is the only way to Heaven.
You can express your belief on Jesus through a simple prayer like this one:
“Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross and paid the penalty for my sin. I believe that you arose from the dead and are alive today in Heaven. I place my faith in you alone to forgive my sin and save me. Thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
